Our Politics

There is little more polarizing in our society today than religion and politics.  Many Christian leaders never want to talk about polarizing subjects because they are more concerned about the size of their Church than obeying God.  We at Jubilee Family Church don't tell people how to vote but we do believe that various issues or politicians may more closely represent Christian values.  For this reason we are providing for you a link to the Arkansas Voters Guide so you have the potential to make a more informed decision as a responsible citizen.

We Should be Able to Interpret the Signs of the Times:

Matthew 16:1-4

16 The Pharisees and Sadducees came to Jesus and tested him by asking him to show them a sign from heaven.  2 He replied, “When evening comes, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red,’ 3 and in the morning, ‘Today it will be stormy, for the sky is red and overcast.’ You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times. 4 A wicked and adulterous generation looks for a sign, but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah.” Jesus then left them and went away.

We believe this passage is specifically speaking of understanding the spiritual climate of the day however it may have applications to understanding other things going on around us like the political or economic climate.  We believe we should be able to interpret the signs of the times (Like the Son's of Issachar in 1 Chronicles 12:32) and pay attention to more than one thing.  We believe our members should be engaged in the affairs of the day while realizing the supremacy of the Kingdom of God and that this world system is ultimately passing away.

Mark 8:15

“Be careful,” Jesus warned them. “Watch out for the yeast of the Pharisees and that of Herod.”
