First of all, what is a disciple? Well a disciple is simply a student who follows another. We win souls and make disciples by sharing our faith and the substance of our lives, with actions and with words. Discipleship is facilitated by developing people through small group studies and service teams. Jesus taught us in Matthew 28:18-20 that “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Jesus. Because of this we are to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything Jesus commanded us to do. Jesus concluded by saying that he will be with us always, to the very end of the age.”
As a general rule if you have never made a disciple then you probably need to be discipled. Reach out to Pastor Tony if you are ready to grow to the point that you can help others become disciples who disciple others as well.
